Island triathletes have enjoyed success at events on the mainland.
Wight Tri members competed in the Dorney Lake Triathlon and the New Forest Triathlon, posting personal bests and high results.
At the Dorney Lake Triathlon, Nick and Laura Curwood both had excellent races.
Nick completed the 400-metre swim in an all-time personal best swim time of six minutes and 18 seconds, before posting a personal best ten-kilometre bike ride of 15 minutes and 31 seconds, and a 2,500-metre run completed in ten minutes and 12 seconds.
He finished second overall, improving his personal best by two minutes.
Laura, a para-triathlete, also achieved an all-time personal best in the swim, posting a time of six minutes and 33 seconds, and again in the bike leg, completing it in 21 minutes and 21 seconds, and was just eight seconds off her personal best in the run, posting a time of nine minutes and 18 seconds.
Meanwhile, at the New Forest Triathlon, Arielle and Lizzi Elton-Walters and team-mate Addy Swann travelled to Lake Ellingham to compete in two events.
Arielle swam 1,000m, including 1,450m running, completing the leg in 37 minutes and 28 seconds.
She then embarked on a 33km bike ride, completing it in a time of one hour, 13 minutes and 38 seconds.
After a ten kilometer race, Arielle finished in two hours, 56 minutes and 38 seconds.
Lizzi and Addy competed as a relay team with Ed Simpson from Southampton Tri Club, with Lizzi swimming 1900m in 47 minutes.
Addy then set numerous personal bests on the bike leg, completing the 90km circuit in two hours and 55 minutes.
Ed then brought the team home with a 21 kilometer run in one hour and 35 minutes, finishing with a time of five hours, 20 minutes and 58 seconds.
