Manchester United have confirmed their squad for the Europa League group stage, with Tyrell Malacia included as they look to put their injury nightmare behind them.
Erik ten Hag’s side finished eighth in the Premier League last season but qualified for the Europa League thanks to their FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
They will face eight teams in the new league phase of the competition, starting at home to Twente before travelling to Porto and Fenerbahce, managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho.
United will then face PAOK, Bodo/Glimt, Viktoria Plzen, Rangers and FCSB.
Malacia has not played a game for 15 months but has been named in the Europa League squad, suggesting United are hopeful he will return to fitness soon after missing all of last season following knee surgery.
Casemiro has also been included, despite recent rumours linking him with a move to Galatasaray, while new signing Manuel Ugarte also features.
Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho are not in the 25-man squad, but will be included in the club’s B list.
Players who have been with the club for at least two years and who were born on or after 1 January 2003 are eligible to be on List B, leaving room for others to be on List A.
Harry Amass is only 17 but has been named in the first team squad having only arrived from Watford last year.
